# Release Notes - 4th November

This release focuses on improving survey flexibility through answer piping in Matrix questions, making AI report generation and AOI metrics more accessible with automatic updates, and resolving issues across study creation, media management, audience panels, and results visualisation.

Key highlights include the ability to populate Matrix rows and columns using answers from earlier questions, automatic updates for completed AI reports and AOI metrics, improved image replacement in A/B Test and Preference blocks, smoother collection and folder management, and several fixes to improve the overall platform experience.

**Feature Enhancements**

**1\. Answer Piping into Matrix Rows and Columns**

**Overview**

Researchers can now use answers from an earlier question to automatically populate the rows or columns of a Matrix question. This makes it easier to display relevant answer choices based on participants' previous responses.

**What's Changed**

- **Add Answers to Rows or Columns:** Researchers can choose whether answers from an earlier question should appear as rows or columns in a Matrix question.
- **Flexible Answer Selection:** Researchers can display all answer choices, only selected choices, or only unselected choices from an earlier question.
- **Independent Setup:** Rows and columns can be set up independently. Researchers can also retain existing answer choices or add their own options manually.
- **Edit or Remove Settings:** Researchers can modify or remove answer-piping settings. They can also cancel changes without affecting the existing setup.
- **Automatic Updates:** Matrix answer choices update based on participants' responses to the earlier question.
- **Retain Relevant Responses:** When the displayed answer choices change, responses for options that are still displayed are retained, while responses for options that are no longer displayed are cleared.
- **Improved Compatibility:** Researchers can use compatible earlier choice questions to populate Matrix rows or columns.

**Why This Matters**

This enhancement gives researchers more flexibility when designing surveys. They can display only relevant answer choices based on participants' previous responses, making questionnaires shorter and easier to complete.

It also eliminates the need to create multiple conditional questions to capture the same information.

**Business Impact**

- Reduces questionnaire complexity and makes surveys easier for participants to complete.
- Gives researchers more flexibility when designing Matrix questions.
- Helps Sales and Customer Success teams demonstrate more advanced survey capabilities to clients.

**Bug Fixes**

**1\. AI Reports Not Updating Automatically After Generation**

**Issue:** After generating an AI report, users had to refresh the browser or reopen the page to see the completed report, even when the report was already ready.

**Fix:** Improved report updates so that completed AI reports become available automatically on the current page.

**Impact:** Users can access completed reports without manually refreshing the page or navigating away and returning.

**2\. Image Order Changing When Replacing an Image in an A/B Test Block**

**Issue:** When users replaced Image A with a new image in an A/B Test block, the existing Image B moved to the Image A position, and the newly uploaded image appeared as Image B.

**Fix:** Corrected the image replacement behaviour to ensure that replacing an image does not change the existing image order.

**Impact:** Users can replace images without affecting the intended A/B test sequence, ensuring that the correct creatives are displayed.

**3\. AOI Metrics Not Updating Automatically After Calculation**

**Issue:** After creating an Area of Interest (AOI), the calculated metrics did not appear automatically on the analysis page. Users had to refresh the browser to view the results.

**Fix:** Improved AOI updates so that calculated metrics are displayed automatically on the current analysis page once the calculation is complete.

**Impact:** Users can view their AOI results without manually refreshing the page, making the analysis process smoother and more convenient.

**4\. Newly Created Collections Not Appearing in All Items**

**Issue:** When users created a collection inside another collection (at the third level), it did not appear immediately in the All Items view. Users had to navigate to the Folder section and return to All Items to see the newly created collection.

**Fix:** Corrected the display update so that newly created collections appear immediately in the All Items view.

**Impact:** Users can access newly created collections without switching between sections or refreshing the page.

**5\. File Container Moving When Creating a New Folder**

**Issue:** When users created a new folder on the Dashboard, the file container briefly moved out of position or flickered before returning to its original position.

**Fix:** Improved the folder creation experience to prevent the file container from shifting or flickering.

**Impact:** Provides a smoother and more consistent experience when creating and managing folders.

**6\. Graph Tooltip Partially Hidden in YouTube and Vimeo Blocks**

**Issue:** On the Results page, part of the graph tooltip in the Media Graph Metrics section was hidden when viewing results for YouTube and Vimeo blocks.

**Fix:** Corrected the tooltip display so that the complete information is visible.

**Impact:** Users can view all the information displayed in graph tooltips without any content being cut off.

**7\. Media Processing Continuing After File Deletion**

**Issue:** When users uploaded a media file, clicked Done, and then deleted it to upload a different file, the platform continued processing the deleted media.

**Fix:** Updated the media deletion process to stop the associated processing when a media file is deleted.

**Impact:** Prevents unnecessary processing of deleted files and improves media processing efficiency.

**8\. Duplicate Panel Also Triggering the Add Audience Action**

**Issue:** When users selected Duplicate from the three-dot menu of a panel in the Audience section, the platform duplicated the panel but also opened the Add Audience form. This could result in an additional panel being created unintentionally.

**Fix:** Corrected the Duplicate action so that it only creates a copy of the selected panel and opens that copy for editing. The Add Audience action is no longer triggered automatically.

**Impact:** Users can duplicate and edit existing panels without unintentionally creating additional panels or editing the wrong one.

**9\. Image Order Changing When Replacing an Image in a Preference Block**

**Issue:** When users replaced Image A in a Preference block containing four images (A, B, C, and D), the image order changed. The newly uploaded image appeared as Image D instead of retaining the original Image A position.

**Fix:** Corrected the image replacement behaviour to ensure that the existing ABCD image order is maintained when an image is replaced.

**Impact:** Users can replace individual images without affecting the intended image sequence in Preference blocks.

**10\. Sankey Chart Not Displaying Properly in Maximized View**

**Issue:** In Task block results with 10 or more responses, maximizing the Sankey chart caused the chart to appear zoomed in, with parts of the response flow cut off. The minimize icon was also not visible at the normal browser zoom level.

**Fix:** Improved the maximized chart display so that the complete chart is visible and the minimize option is accessible.

**Impact:** Users can view the complete response flow and easily switch between maximized and normal views without losing access to the chart controls.

**11\. Home Button Missing When Opening a Shared Collection**

**Issue:** When users opened a collection shared by another user, the Home button was missing from the interface, making it difficult to navigate back to the homepage.

**Fix:** Restored the Home button when users access a shared collection.

**Impact:** Users can easily navigate back to the homepage after opening a shared collection, providing a more consistent navigation experience.
