Release Notes - August 18th, 2023

What's New? ✨

  • We are thrilled to introduce a significant enhancement - Tag Analytics for highlights/tags within PDF, DOC, and PPT documents. With this major feature, creating highlights in these documents now comes with an added layer of insight. Users will now have access to comprehensive analytics, including categorizations into positive, negative, and neutral sentiments, for each tag. This empowers users to gain a deeper understanding of the content's sentiment distribution, making it easier to extract meaningful insights from their documents.
  • We have revamped the research selection page with a new interface, showcasing a sleek and modernized user interface (UI) in line with the new Decode design. This transformative update brings a renewed look and feel to your research selection experience.

Improvement πŸš€

  • We have made improvements to media and meetings' performance and stability.
  • Performed some UI and UX cleanup in the platform.
  • Added a feature that will display a toaster notification when a Decode user accesses a Quantitative study after the response limit has been exceeded as per their subscription plan. The toaster message will read: "Responses are no longer being collected for the study as the responses limit has been exceeded."

Bug Fixes πŸ”§

  • Fixed a bug that was allowing the users to update the background image of a Quantitative survey while in active state, and the CTA button was getting disappeared while hovering. With this fix in place, the study cannot be edited in the active state, and  The CTA button would be disabled.
  • Updated the new Decode logo in all invite emails.
  • Fixed an issue where attempting to join a meeting as a guest while being the meeting organizer did not trigger an appropriate error message. With this fix, when a meeting organizer attempts to join as a guest, an appropriate error message will now be displayed, conveying the message "Meeting organizer cannot log in as a guest."
  • Resolved an issue where clicking on a add new block multiple times while creating a quantitative study and subsequently refreshing the page resulted in the unintended addition of duplicate blocks. This issue has been rectified by implementing a loading state for the button when a user clicks on a block. This loading state will persist until the block page fully opens. Furthermore, during this loading state, the remaining blocks will be disabled, preventing any unintended actions.
  • Resolved an issue where clicking on multiple highlights within the Transcripts Page would cause the page to become unresponsive and cease loading. With this fix, clicking on different highlights within the Transcripts Page will now correctly display each highlight along with their corresponding tags.
  • Addressed an issue where AI highlights containing more than five tags were causing the right pane/menu to become invisible upon clicking on the AI highlights. This issue has been resolved, and clicking on AI highlights will now display the right pane/menu as intended, even when the highlight includes more than five tags.
  • Updated Decode logo display issues across various instances. Previously, the old Decode/Entropik icons appeared in invite emails during live meeting creation, as well as in the Decode Live interface during meeting attendance. Additionally, inconsistencies in Entropik icons were observed within the Quantitative research progress bar. These issues have been rectified to ensure a uniform and accurate visual representation of New Decode across all relevant contexts. Updated the new Decode logo in all user invite emails as well.
  • Addressed an issue where clicking the "Leave" button within the "Unsaved Changes" popup resulted in no actions being executed, preventing the successful discarding of changes in quantitative studies. With this fix, clicking the "Leave" button will now correctly initiate the discard action for unsaved changes, ensuring that users can effectively and reliably discard their modifications when prompted.
  • Resolved an issue where attempting to use templates and subsequently saving the blocks on the welcome page resulted in an error. This issue has been addressed, and users can now successfully utilize templates and save blocks on the welcome page without encountering any disruptions.
  • Corrected an issue where the 'Text Analysis' word cloud section was not being generated for some media on the Analytics page. With this fix, the 'Text Analysis' section will now be correctly generated for all the media files.
  • Resolved an issue where certain Decode users, who were designated as meeting invitees, were unable to view the scheduled meetings. With this fix, all designated meeting invitees will now be able to access and view their scheduled meetings as intended.
  • Rectified a critical issue where the Transcript APIs for Merge, Split, Update Speaker Name, Edit, and Revert were generating an error. With this fix, these Transcript APIs have been optimized and are now functioning as expected, ensuring smooth and error-free execution of actions such as merging, splitting, updating speaker names, editing, and reverting transcripts.
