Audience Credits
Overview
Audience Credits are what you use to pay for participants recruited through Decode Audience Cloud. You can buy credits in advance so you can don't have to pay separately every time you set up a panel. You can also skip credits entirely and pay by credit card at the time you launch a panel instead.
View your credits
Go to Settings, then open the Audience Credits tab. You'll see:
- Available Credits β credits you've bought that are ready to use
- Reserved Credits β credits set aside for panels already in progress
- Consumed (This Month) β a month-by-month breakdown of what you've used
- Overall Credits Consumed β broken down by study type: Live Interviews, Quantitative Study, and AI Interviews
- Credits Usage History β a chart of your credit usage across the year
Buy credits
Under Buy Credits, either enter a number under Estimate Needed Credits to see the cost, or choose one of the preset packages under Select Credits:
- 100 Credits for $200
- 250 Credits for $500
- 500 Credits for $1000
1 credit = $2 USD. Click Buy Credits to complete your purchase. Your credits are added to Available Credits immediately, ready to use on any panel going forward.
Use your credits in a study
When you set up a Decode Panel for a study, the cost is calculated automatically based on your criteria and study settings, and shown to you as Required Credits before you pay. At Checkout, select Credits as your payment method to pay using the balance you already have in your workspace, instead of paying by credit card.
If you don't have enough credits at that point, you can return to Settings and buy more, then go back and complete your payment.
Common questions
The Audience Credits tab includes a Decode Audience FAQ section, covering questions such as what credits are, how much one credit is worth, how they're used, how cost per response is calculated, how many credits you need, how to purchase credits, what happens if you don't have enough, whether credits expire, how fast you'll receive responses, where participants come from, whether you can target specific audiences, whether you can use your own participants instead of credits, and what happens if a study doesn't complete. Check there first if you have a specific question about how credits work.
