Release Notes - 17th September

This release includes improvements across Quantitative Studies, media processing, transcripts, integrations, study management, and overall platform usability. These updates focus on providing a smoother experience for researchers and participants, improving the reliability of media and transcript processing, and addressing key usability issues across the platform.

1. Improved Card Sort Experience on Mobile

The Card Sort block has been improved for participants accessing studies through mobile browsers. This provides a better experience when participants need to sort cards and categories on their mobile devices.

2. Improved Study Duplication Experience

The study duplication flow has been improved to provide a smoother experience while a study is being duplicated from the Library. Users will now see a proper loading state instead of a temporary UI glitch during duplication.

3. Improved Country Filtering

Country-based filtering has been improved to ensure that participants are correctly identified based on their country information.

4. Improved Transcript Generation After Media Reprocessing

Transcript status now updates correctly when the transcription limit is increased and previously processed media is reprocessed. Users will no longer see an incorrect “Transcript Generation Paused” message when transcript generation can resume.

5. Improved Task Block Title Entry

The Task Title field has been improved so that researchers can enter task titles correctly without the placeholder text being included in the title.

This ensures that the task title displayed to participants and in study results is accurate.

6. Improved AOI Creation

Area of Interest (AOI) creation has been improved for media where participants have not viewed the entire video. Researchers can now create AOIs without encountering errors in portions of the media that were not viewed by participants.

7. Improved Demo Mode Navigation

Navigation within Quantitative Studies in Demo Mode has been improved. Users can now return to the Home page without encountering an error.

8. Improved Settings – Home Team Dropdown

The Home Team dropdown in Settings has been improved so that all available teams are displayed clearly without overlapping with other fields.

9. Improved Video File Access

Existing video files can now be accessed correctly when their URLs are opened directly in a new browser tab.

10. Speaker Labels Retained After Transcript Edits

Speaker labels are now retained when researchers edit transcript text and create highlights using the edited content.

For example, if a speaker is assigned a specific name, that name will continue to appear correctly in the corresponding highlight instead of being changed to “Moderator.”

11. Improved Integrations Page

The Integrations page has been updated to display integrations under the correct categories.

  • Audience Panel integrations are now shown under the Audience Panel tab.
  • Video Conferencing integrations are displayed separately.

12. Improved Behavioral Insights Processing

Behavioral Insights processing has been improved to ensure that transcript generation is completed before Behavioral Insights are generated.

This provides a more reliable media processing experience and prevents errors during processing.

13. Improved Handling of Corrupt Media

The platform now handles corrupt or invalid media files more clearly. Instead of remaining stuck in Processing, invalid media will move to a Failed state, making it easier for users to identify that the file could not be processed.
